2010年4月開講：茶道 The Tea Ceremony
People interested in learning about/ practicing/ discussing the tea ceremony, and those who would like to learn how to explain this aspect of Japanese culture in English.

英語で直接教える英語専門講座の紹介です。4月より茶道の講座を開講します。教科書は岡倉天心（覚三）の名著The Book of Teaを使用し、講師は日本文化、芸術に関心が深い米国出身のMr. Matthew Pelowski氏です。佐々木インターナショナルアカデミー英語力評価基準中級者対象。授業料は5万円、教科書代は別途。新に入学される方はレベルチェック試験受験、入学金、ガイダンス参加（計28,000円）が必要です。

Teacher’s Self-introduction
I am a 3rd year PhD candidate at Nagoya University, studying the psychology of interacting with art. I have been studying the tea ceremony (Ura senke) for 2 years under a tea master in Gifu prefecture. I’m from the state of Nebraska in America.

Preliminary advice for students
This will be a relaxed class where everyone will get a chance to practice the simple tea ceremony. Students need to bring a “fukusa” which can be purchased in a department store (about 2000 yen for an official tea fukusa) or can bring any fukusa/ small furoshiki from home. I also require a small fee (1000 yen?) for buying tea powder and okashi.
